Evasive Dash is a Light class specialization that allows its user to perform a dash frequently, which rapidly moves them a small distance in any direction.
Effects
Evasive Dash can be activated to dash a short distance, going in a direction based on the user's movement inputs and their looking direction. Uniquely, using this specialization does not interrupt actions such as drawing the Recurve Bow, holding a Sword lunge or scoping in with the SR-84.
Usage
Evasive Dash can be selected as the specialization gadget of any Light build loadout.
The specialization trigger can be used to perform a dash. The direction of the dash depends on the direction in which its user is attempting to move. For example, if the movement trigger is set to move to the left while activating Evasive Dash, it will perform a dash to the left.
The vertical direction of the dash depends on the looking direction of the user. If the user is looking upwards, the dash will move up. However, Evasive Dash is primarily a horizontal movement tool and cannot go straight up or down.

Strategy
Strengths
- The Evasive Dash can be used to quickly close the gap to reach an opponent, as many Light weapons rely on getting close to the target.
- The Evasive Dash also helps with getting away, another important feature for Light contestants who do not have much health.
- The Evasive Dash can be used to take cover, such as by dashing sideways or backwards into an opening.
Weaknesses
- The Stun Gun can make an Evasive Dash user unable to use it.
- The Evasive Dash has limited usefulness in wide open areas, where dashing behind cover is not possible.
- Using Evasive Dash carelessly could result in dashing into a trap such as an Explosive Mine.
Tactics
- The Evasive Dash synergizes well with the Throwing Knives, as the weapon's accuracy is not affected by intense movement.
- The Evasive Dash can be combined with the Sword's lunge ability to extend its range.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP for the Evasive Dash can be earned solely by activating it.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
