The Tracking Dart is a Light class gadget that can be fired at an opponent from a long distance to reveal their location to teammates for a long duration.

Effects

The Tracking Dart can be deployed by firing it from any distance. If it hits an opponent, they are detected for 15 seconds.

The user's team can see the opponent in the form of particles in the shape of their body in the color of their team, which are visible regardless of distance or any surfaces between the target and the viewer. The target has a warning on their screen that they are detected.

Usage

The Tracking Dart can be selected as one of three gadgets of any Light build loadout.

The gadget can be held and fired like a weapon. It has a special type of sights, offering a scope. Enabling the scope will zoom in the screen and overlay it with a duplex reticle, and will slow down movement and sensitivity.

The trigger can be pulled to fire a dart that damages an opponent and reveals them for a long duration.

When a new charge of the Tracking Dart is ready, it needs to be reloaded like a weapon, unlike most gadgets. The reloading animation is automatically started once a charge is ready and the gadget is held.

Strategy

Tactics

  • The Tracking Dart can be used at the beginning of a Terminal Attack round on the defending team to communicate the position of up to two opponents to teammates for an extended duration, giving the team an advantage.

Item Mastery

Item mastery XP can be earned by striking an opponent with the Tracking Dart.

Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
