The XP-54 (Heckler & Koch Machinenpistol Werknummern 54) is a Light class submachine gun designed to deal high damage over short windows at close to moderate distances.
Usage
The XP-54 can be selected as the weapon of any Light build loadout.
The trigger can be held to continuously fire bullets that damage opponents, also dealing additional damage on headshots. The XP-54 has optical sights, which have the same function as iron sights: aiming down sights increases accuracy. Moving decreases accuracy, especially when going airborne.
The weapon automatically reloads when its magazine is empty, or the user can do a tactical reload before this point. The user has unlimited spare ammunition.

Guide
Strengths
- When sneaking up to a target, unleashing the magazine of the XP-54 on them can take them down very quickly.
- The XP-54 has a relatively large magazine compared to other Light class guns.
- The XP-54 is stronger at moderate ranges than the comparable M11 thanks to its higher accuracy, better handling and optical sights.
Weaknesses
- The XP-54's damage falls off at moderate distances.
- The XP-54 is weaker at close ranges than the comparable M11 due to the lower damage per second.
Tactics
- Using the optical sights should always be done while shooting unless the opponent is extremely close, as the accuracy will be greatly increased.
- An XP-54 user should attempt to step in and out of combat to safely be able to deal damage, approaching opponents from unexpected angles so that they cannot retaliate. The moments of cover also serve to reload the weapon.
Recoil
How to control:
- Pull down hard and slightly left for the first 15 bullets
- Pull slightly left until the mag is empty
Hitscan
- When the weapon fires a shot, a target is scanned for using a hitscan. This is a detection mechanism that scans in a straight line, meaning there is no bullet drop. The direction of this line will be deviate randomly from the direction of the crosshairs, depending on the accuracy level at the time of firing.
- Immediately, the closest contestant, structure, object or shield intersecting the hitscan will be tagged as being struck. First, a bullet tracer animation quickly travels from the weapon to the hit location, then its effects are applied. This means it is possible for targets to be struck a few frames after they appear to take cover, as the hit is confirmed the moment the weapon is fired.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP can be earned by damaging and eliminating opponents with the XP-54.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.

Trivia
- The XP-54 exists in real life as the Heckler & Koch MP5 (Maschinenpistole 5) submachine gun developed in the 1960s by Heckler & Koch (H&K), a German firearms manufacturer. It is specifically modeled after the MP5A5, developed in the 1980s. The MP5 is one of the most widely used submachine guns in the world, having been adopted by numerous militaries, police forces, intelligence agencies and security organizations. Its successor is the UMP, although the MP5 remained the more successful of the two options.
- The '54' in XP-54 refers to the MP5's initial prototype designation as HK54. Under H&K's Werknummern system, the '5' categorizes it as a selective fire carbine and the '4' categorizes it as being chambered in a handgun cartridge.
- The 'XP' in XP-54 is most likely a rebranding of MP, meaning Maschinenpistole (submachine gun).

- Prior to the Open Beta, the XP-54 had no holograhpic sight.
