The Zipline is a Medium class placeable gadget that allows contestants to travel back and forth between two locations by riding a zipline.
Effects
The Zipline can be deployed by placing it attached to a surface. Uniquely, the Zipline be placed from a very long distance. It does not need to be placed horizontally and can be placed vertically if needed.
Once placed, it functions like the Ziplines that normally appear in the arena: contestants (teammates and opponents) can ride them in either direction. It can be damaged and destroyed like a regular Zipline, and will not disappear by itself until the user places a new Zipline.
Usage
The Zipline can be selected as one of three gadgets of any Medium build loadout.
While the gadget is held, an indicator will show a potential placement of the Zipline as a blue hologram on the targeted surface. If the hologram is red, the gadget will not fit in the target location. Using the primary trigger, the placement can be confirmed to deploy the gadget. It can be deployed on any surface, including walls and ceilings.
To ride the zipline, a contestant can interact with the cable while near it to start riding it. The looking direction determines in which direction they will move.

Strategy
Strengths
- The Zipline can create paths were there were none before. Depending on the area, a lot of travel time can be saved by creating a new connection, such as between the top of the Mall and the roof of the Apartments in Seoul.
- The Zipline's pole is difficult to take down with ranged attacks due to its small size and high health. However, melee attacks deal extreme damage against it, taking only two hits of quick melee to remove it.
Weaknesses
- The CL-40 can destroy a Zipline by firing a single grenade near one of its poles.
Tactics
- In Power Shift, placing down a Zipline early on (from a team spawn point towards the platform's central point) can greatly benefit the team to get back to the platform faster after respawning, as the zipline is permanent even if the user swaps to a different gadget later.
- It should be noted that only one Zipline can be deployed per user.
Item Mastery
Item mastery XP for the Zipline can be earned solely by deploying it.
Each time a certain XP threshold is reached, the item levels up. This does not improve the item, but rewards a unique item customization.
