Level Two: THE PROMISE was the second level of THE FINALS Easter Egg Hunt. It was activated on October 4, 2022 and ended on March 22, 2024, leading into Level Three: THE HUNT.
History
Activation
On October 2, 2022, Embark Studios CCO Rob Runesson posted an image of half of a QR code and a messageː "HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO0O"[1][2] (this has been edited for brevity, the full message was over 400 characters long). Later that day, hunters noticed that the 18th character in the message was the number 0, not the letter O.[3] A few minutes later, hunters decoded the QR code and discovered a new URL on the official THE FINALS website: https://www.reachthefinals.com/tfee_level2[4] (this address was later retired and replaced with https://www.reachthefinals.com/tfee-level2). On the page was a GIF of Nama Tama saying that "Level Two - THE PROMISE" was loading. Soon afterwards, the URL https://www.reachthefinals.com/gooooooooooooooooo was discovered.[5] It contained a quarter of the QR code that led to the Level Two URL, although this was no longer needed.
On October 4, it was discovered that https://www.reachthefinals.com/tfee-level2 was active, with all 9 tiers locked. Tier 2ABC and Tier 2DEF were originally separated like the other tiers, before being moved to share the same row.
